Recipe Thousand Layers Yam Mooncake

Resep Thousand Layers Yam Mooncake

Ingredients :

  • For Filling:
  • 500 gr Purple yam (Steam and mashed it)
  • 150 gr Sugar
  • 30 gr Salted butter
  • 50 gr Skim milk
  • For Dough:
  • A. Water dough
  • 200 gr All purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp White vinegar
  • 50 gr Shortening
  • 50 gr Sugar
  • 100 gr Cold water
  • B. Oil dough
  • 180 gr All purpose flour
  • 100 gr Shortening
  • Few drops food coloring

Method :
  1. Lets get started ftom the filling first. Add all filling ingredients into the bowl. Mix it until look soft and smooth. Let it cool down.
  2. Devide into 20 pcs. Then use hands to make yam balls.
  3. Then set aside
  4. For Dough B mix all ingredients together. Devide into 10 pcs.
  5. Get the water dough, wrap up oil dough.
  6. Roll up into long rectangle.
  7. Then roll up into swiss roll. Do it 2x.
  8. So the result would b like this pic below.
  9. Cut into half each rolls. Then roll it out. Wrap up with yam filling.
  10. Put the ugly part inside.
  11. Bake on 370F about 25 - 30 mnt.
  12. Hmmm its really yummy.. and its good for party dessert.
  13. This is the wrap method. Just like chinese bun technique. Then glue it water.
