Recipe Oliebollen (dutch donuts)

Resep Oliebollen (dutch donuts)

Ingredients :

  • 4 cups flour
  • 2 1/4 cups very warm milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp quick rise yeast
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 4 apples pealed and diced
  • 1/2 cup currants
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/4 cup marmalade (or candied fruit)
  • oil for deep frying
  • icing sugar

Method :
  1. Mix flour, very warm milk, salt, yeast and sugar together. you should have a sticky pasty dough.
  2. Mix in raisins, currants, apples and marmalade.
  3. Heat oil until it complains when you sprinkle water into it.
  4. Using two spoons, drop 2-3 tblsp sized blobs into your oil. Turn occasionally until both sides are golden brown.
  5. Remove from oil and allow to drip from a cooling rack or on paper towel for a few minutes.
  6. Sprinkle with liberal amounts of icing sugar.
  7. Tell the kids they cant have any unless they do the dishes haha!! Enjoy!!
