Resep Brioche des rois (Epiphany Bread)

Ingredients :

  • 340 g bread flour
  • 50 g butter or margarine
  • 40 g sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 egg
  • 5-6 g dried active yeast
  • 150 ml water or milk
  • pop sugar
  • Drained cherry (red and green)
  • Fruit jam of your choice

Method :
  1. Mix the flour, butter (half-melted), sugar, salt, egg, yeast and water and knead well. Let it rise for 1-2 hours.
  2. Place the dough on a board and knead lightly to let the extra gas out. Make two rings. Let them rise again for about 1 hour.
  3. Bake in the oven preheated at 190 C for about 20-25 minutes. Turn the side in the middle of baking.
  4. Baked!
  5. Decorate the brioches. Spread the jam on the surface and put the pop sugar and drained cherries.
