Ingredients :
- 1 cup warm milk
- 2 eggs (room temperature)
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 4 cups bread flour
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 2 1/2 tsp rapid rise yeast
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp cinnamon powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup heavy cream
Method :
- Mix all wet ingredients (milk, eggs, and butter), then add the dry ingredients (sugar, yeast and salt) add the bread flour and mix until the dough forms. Let rise in a large bowl covered in plastic wrap or cloth for 30 minutes or until the size doubles.
- On a separate bowl mix the brown sugar and cinnamon powder until well combined.
- Roll the dough in a square like thin shape.
- Spread the sugar-cinnamon mixture on the dough leaving half to an inch space on the edges. Optionally, you may add small amounts of butter on the dough.
- Carefully roll the dough tightly.
- Portion to desired cut then bake in a 200°C oven, after 10 minutes pour the heavy cream on top of the rolls then cook for another 30 minutes.
- While hot, you may add cream butter frosting as desired and serve. (See my other recipe for cream butter frosting)
