Ingredients :
- 1 cup chickpeas
- 1/2 large red onion, chopped
- 2 tbsp finely chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp dried red pepper flakes
- 4 clove garlic, chopped
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 4 tbsp flour (can use up to 6 tbsp)
- Vegetable oil
- 1 chopped tomato for garnish
- 1 diced onion for garnish
- 1 diced green pepper for garnish
- Tahini sauce
- Pita bread
- Dill dip
- Feta cheese
Method :
- Individually process in a food processor: chickpeas, cilantro, onion, and garlic
- Mix together in bowl
- Add salt, red pepper flakes, cumin, and baking powder
- Add flour until you can form dough balls
- Place falafal balls on flat cookie sheet and brush with vegetable oil
- Bake at 375°F for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through
