Recipe Broiled Marinated Soy Honey Salmon

Ingredients :

  • 4 – 4- 6 oz. salmon steaks, about ¾ inch thick
  • 1/4 c. low sodium tamari or Bragg’s Aminos
  • 2 tablespoons raw honey
  • 2 tablespoons Mirin (japanese rice wine)
  • 1/8 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 scallions, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh squeezed lime juice (or lemon)
  • 1 tsp. arrowroot powder
  • 1 TBL fresh grated ginger

Method :
  1. Preheat broiler to high. In a glass bowl, whisk all ingredients together. Place salmon in a glass casserole dish and pour the marinade over top. Marinate for at least 20 minutes covered in the refrigerator.
  2. Place salmon on a broiler pan with non-stick foil. Broil salmon for about 10 minutes or until flaky.
  3. Pour remaining marinade into a saucepan and heat to thicken, stirring constantly. Remove salmon from oven and serve with remaining warm sauce.
