Ingredients :
- 4 – 4- 6 oz. salmon steaks, about ¾ inch thick
- 1/4 c. low sodium tamari or Bragg’s Aminos
- 2 tablespoons raw honey
- 2 tablespoons Mirin (japanese rice wine)
- 1/8 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 3 scallions, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon fresh squeezed lime juice (or lemon)
- 1 tsp. arrowroot powder
- 1 TBL fresh grated ginger
Method :
- Preheat broiler to high. In a glass bowl, whisk all ingredients together. Place salmon in a glass casserole dish and pour the marinade over top. Marinate for at least 20 minutes covered in the refrigerator.
- Place salmon on a broiler pan with non-stick foil. Broil salmon for about 10 minutes or until flaky.
- Pour remaining marinade into a saucepan and heat to thicken, stirring constantly. Remove salmon from oven and serve with remaining warm sauce.
