Ingredients :
- makes 1rib eye steak
- 1 inch thick rib eye (1 -2lbs)
- 2 tbs kosher salt
- 2 tbs fresh ground pepper
- 4 tbs canola oil
- 3 tbs butter
- 2 sprigs thyme
- 2 bunches rosemary
- 2 garlic cloves crushed
Method :
- Preheat oven to 250 degrees
- Season steak evenly with salt and pepper on all sides
- Place steak on rack on baking sheet. Bake for 35 minutes
- Heat canola oil in a skillet over high heat until smoking. Sear the steak on one side for 30 seconds then flip and do the same on the other side. Add butter, thyme, rosemary and garlic. On top of steak.
- Put steak to the top pf the pan and butter is at the bottom. Spoon the butter over the steak for 35 seconds
- Let steak rest 10 minutes slice and serve.
