
Ingredients :
- 1 lb ground meat (beef, turkey, venison)
- 1 onion chopped
- 1 green bell pepper chopped
- 1 jalapeño chopped
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 can tomato sauce (28 oz)
- 1 can petite diced tomatos (15 oz)
- 1 can red kidney beans, drained & rinsed
- 1 can pinto beans, drained & rinsed
- 1 1/2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp oregano
- to taste salt and pepper
- 1/4 tsp cayenne or to taste
Method :
- Add 1 tbsp olive oil to pan and cook pepper, jalapeno, onion, and garlic until soft about 6 minutes
- Add seasoning to peppers and onions. Stir and cook for a few minutes.
- If using a crockpot - add meat, peppers, onions, beans, tomatos, and tomato sauce to slow cooker. Mix together.
- Set on high for 4 hours or low 6-8 hours.
- If making this stove top - add meat, drained beans, canned tomato, and tomato sauce.
- Bring to a boil, then cover and lower to a simmer for 1.5-2 hours
- Serve with shredded cheese, sour cream, scallions, or whatever you prefer. Enjoy!
