Ingredients :
- 180 g bread flour
- 20 g wheat flour
- 40 g sugar
- 1 tsp dry yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 80 ml warm milk
- 80 ml warm water
- 2 tbsp green tea powder
- 200 g red bean paste
- 30 g butter
Method :
- Mix warm water and warm milk together. Put dry yeast into the mixture and leave it for 3 mins.
- Mix bread flour, wheat flour, sugar, salt and green tea powder together. Pour the milk water mixture into the dry ingredients and quickly mix well to form a dough.
- Transfer the dough onto a pastry board, gather the dough together. Knead the dough by hands until less sticky. Fold in butter and knead until smooth. This process usually takes 15 mins.
- Knead the dough into a ball shape, let it rest in warm place (around 40C) for 30 min or until the dough is double in size.
- Divide the dough into 8 equal portions. Knead the dough into a ball and flatten out the dough. Wrap 25g of red bean paste into the dough and pinch to close. Repeat the process until you get 8 balls.
- Place the dough in warm place (40C) for 30 min again. Preheat the oven to 180C.
- After that, cut each dough with kitchen scissors for 5 times and you will get a flower shape dough. Repeat the process for all the dough.
- Place the dough in the oven at 180C and bake for 15-17min or until golden brown.
- When the bread is done, place them on the wire rack to cool completely.
