Recipe Bread Pudding with Rum Sauce

Resep Bread Pudding with Rum Sauce

Ingredients :

  • Bread Pudding
  • 15 slice cinnamon loaf bread
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 10 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 8 cup heavy cream
  • Rum Sauce
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 tbsp rum

Method :
  1. Preheat oven to 350°
  2. Place torn bread and raisins in a greased 9x13 baking dish.
  3. In a large bowl, wisk together the eggs, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and heavy cream.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over bread. Allow egg mixture to soak into bread for about 15 minutes before baking.
  5. Bake at 350° uncovered for 50 minutes or until firm. Serve warm with Rum sauce.
  6. Rum Sauce
  7. Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat.
  8. Combine corn starch and sugar together in a small bowl, then add to melted butter in pan and wisk together.
  9. Add heavy cream and rum. Cook over medium heat until sauce thickens, wisking occasionally. Spoon warm sauce over top of each slice of bread pudding.
