Ingredients :
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 5 eggs, separated
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp vanilla
Method :
- Cream butter and sugar
- Beat egg yolks and add to butter mix. Mix well
- Mix flour & baking soda in bowl, set aside
- Mix buttermilk & vanilla, set aside
- Alternately add flour and buttermilk to creamed mixture
- Beat egg whites until stiff. Fold in batter
- Pour into 3 8" pans and bake at 350
