Ingredients :
- 2 blocks firm tofu cut into long slices
- 2 cups chopped mushrooms
- 4 garlic chopped
- 1 cup marsala cooking wine
- 2 tbsp chopped shallots
- 1 tbsp thyme
- 2 Tbsp corn flour plus more for dusting
- pepper
- salt
- olive oil or any cooking oil
- 1 Tbsp all purpose flour
- 1 tbsp tomato paste (optional)
Method :
- Coat the tofu slices with corn flour, salt and pepper. Fry them in a pan with oil for 5 mins . Remove and keep a side
- In the same pan, add oil and fry mushrooms, garlic , shallots, thyme for 3 to 4 mins
- Add vegetable/chicken stock, and cook for few mins
- Add the marsala wine and simmer for 5 mins. Add 1tbsp tomato paste optional. Check for taste and add salt accordingly
- Add 2 tbsp corn flour and 1 tbsp all purpose flour in some water and add to the pan and mix well till thickens
