Ingredients :
- 110 gr brown sugar
- 100 gr flour
- 30 gr cocoa
- 110 gr butter (soft)
- 3 eggs
- 1 heaped tsp. baking powder
- 4 cubes crystalised ginger
- 100 gr pure chocolate
- 1 handful pine nuts
Method :
- Get the ingredients together and beat the eggs. Pre heat the oven to 180º
- Put the sugar and butter in the mixer and make a cream
- Add the egg
- And flour, cocoa, baking powder (little bit of egg, little bit of flour mixture until both are used up)
- Finally add the pine nuts
- Mix well
- And put into a greased (butter or oil) baking tin. I"m using silicon these days.
- Put in the oven (remember 180º) for 40 minutes
- Take out and put on the rack to cool
- Turn over
- Cut a few ginger cubes into small pieces.
- Cut the chocolate into cubes and put them in a small pan with the ginger pieces over a larger pan with lots of water. Heat gently so the chocolate melts and the ginger penetrates.
- Stir
- Pour the chocolate ginger mixture over the cake, spread and
- Cut
- Serve, and enjoy. It won"t make the pain go away. But it will taste nice in a comforting way.
