Ingredients :
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup chopped onions
- 1 pound chicken livers
- 2 hard boiled egg yokes
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
- 1 box wheat thins
Method :
- Melt 1/4 cup butter in large skillet
- Add onions and cook until transparent, stirring frequently.
- Remove onions and set aside for later
- Add remaining butter and chicken livers to skillet. Saute, stirring frequently until livers are tender (about 10-15 min), then cool slightly.
- Place onions, liver, egg yolks in food processor or blender and process until well blended into a pasty consistency. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
- Spoon into a greased bowl for serving, cover tightly and chill.
