Ingredients :
- 2 strips bacon
- 1 egg
- 1 slice american cheese
- 1 bakery roll
- ketchup
- salt and pepper
Method :
- Heat a cast iron skillet over medium heat. Then fry your bacon until crunchy. I place a smaller pan over the bacon so the bacon makes good contact with the pan. Otherwise, you end up with uneven cooking. Remove bacon when done and set aside
- Lower the heat to medium low. Using a damp paper towel clean the pan, trying to remove some of the junk forming on the bottome of the pan.
- Add a tbsp of butter to the pan. and crack the egg into the pan. My yolk broke on it"s own, but as the whites turn opaque pop your yolk if it is still intact.
- After 60 seconds flip the egg. Heat for 30 seconds on this side and remove from pan.
- Assemble your sandwich. Eggs, then cheese, and bacon on top.
- Throw the whole sandwich back in the pan and using a heavy pot or a cast iron press toast the sandwich as a whole. About 60 seconds per side.
- You should be able to lift the top of the bun to throw on some ketchup and salt and pepper to taste. Enjoy your breakfast!
