
Ingredients :
- Strawberry Cake
- 1 box strawberry cake mix
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup syrup from canned strawberries
- Strawberry Icing
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1 cup butter
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 10 ounce jars of strawberries drained (syrup is used in the cake). I find these jars in the canned fruit section
- 1 box powdered sugar
Method :
- Drain strawberries and save syrup for the cake mix. Put strawberries on a couple of napkins and let them dry. You don"t want them too wet or it will make your icing runny.
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Mix cake ingredients together until thoroughly blended.
- Pour cake mix into a greased 13 by 9 inch pan and bake as directed on the cake box
- Once cake begins to cool begin to make your icing. At room temperature cream cheese and butter and beat until mixed thoroughly.
- Add all other ingredients until mixed thoroughly. Ice cake when completely cooled.
- Enjoy!
