Recipe Spaghetti with Garlic and Oil

Ingredients :

  • 1 lb box of spaghetti ( serves four people)
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 8 garlic cloves, sliced thin
  • 1 tablespoon dried red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped fine Italian parsley.
  • I can of flat anchovies in oil ( optional)

Method :
  1. In a large pot of salted, boiling water, add lb. of Spaghetti, and cook al Dente approx. 10 to 12 minutes
  2. Heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic and brown lightly. Add red pepper flakes and parsley. Remove the pan from the heat after it is cooked.
  3. When the spaghetti is cooked al Dente, drain. Reserve some water. About 1 cup of pasta water. Return pastas to the pot and add cooked spaghetti to the above ingredients. Serve on a platter and top with grated cheese.
  4. If you choose to add anchovies, which is optional! Cook in olive oil during the browning of the garlic. Shred anchovies with a knife and fork and cook with the cooked garlic.
  5. If pasta is too dry, add the Cup of pasta water to Spaghetti.
