
Ingredients :
- 3 lb Beef Chuck Roast
- 1 salt
- 1 ground black pepper
- 3 clove garlic
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 packages brown gravy mix
- 1 box beef stock
- 2 bay leaf
- 1 tsp garlic powder
Method :
- Chop garlic cloves and onion, place in bowl. Optional: cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight so their ready for the morning.
- Trim fat from roast. Salt and pepper both sides generously. Optional: place in zip lock bag and refrigerate overnight.
- Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, put onions and garlic in. Stir occasionally.
- Meanwhile, take roast out and cover with all purpose flour.
- When onions and garlic are soft, place floured roast in pan and brown all sides.
- Meanwhile, in a mixing bowl/cup whisk together beef stock and brown gravy mix. Pour about 1/2 inch of liquid into Crockpot.
- Once roast is browned on all sides add it and the onion/garlic mix to the crockpot
- Pour gravy/stock mix on top and add all remaining ingredients to crockpot. Mix together and try to cover as much of the roast as possible.
- Cook on low for 8-10 hours stirring every couple hours (if you can) Once cooked, break roast apart in crockpot. Enjoy! (Optional: pair with mashed potatoes and homemade gravy [also on my page])
