Recipe Bulgur pilaf with potatoes

Resep Bulgur pilaf with potatoes

Ingredients :

  • 3 cups large (coarse) bulgur wheat
  • 6 cups hot water
  • 1 dry onion / chopped
  • 2 large potatoes
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste

Method :
  1. Here is your bulgur / just to make for pilaf. Wash with hot water, drain. Cut the potatoes
  2. In a large pan heat vegetable oil , stir bulgur about 2 mins. And add potatoes. Add 6 cups of boiled water, add salt
  3. Let it boil then simmer, Cook about 25 - 30 mins. Do not open the lid until potatoes get soft.
  4. Since I soaked mine in hot water before I cooked , they are got mushy, so do not soak , just wash them. Okay they are cooked. We make butter sauce
  5. In the stove top, heat 1 tbsp oil, add onions and stir frequently. Add paste and butter. Onions will turn their color reddish, so they are ready. Turn the heat off.
  6. I didn"t want to eat all bulgur pilaf, I will serve only for two people. So I transfer 2 portions of pilaf to smaller pot, then pour my sauce over it. Stirred very good. It is ready, very filling!
  7. Delicious!
