
Ingredients :
- 3 cups large (coarse) bulgur wheat
- 6 cups hot water
- 1 dry onion / chopped
- 2 large potatoes
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 tbsp butter
- to taste Salt
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
Method :
- Here is your bulgur / just to make for pilaf. Wash with hot water, drain. Cut the potatoes
- In a large pan heat vegetable oil , stir bulgur about 2 mins. And add potatoes. Add 6 cups of boiled water, add salt
- Let it boil then simmer, Cook about 25 - 30 mins. Do not open the lid until potatoes get soft.
- Since I soaked mine in hot water before I cooked , they are got mushy, so do not soak , just wash them. Okay they are cooked. We make butter sauce
- In the stove top, heat 1 tbsp oil, add onions and stir frequently. Add paste and butter. Onions will turn their color reddish, so they are ready. Turn the heat off.
- I didn"t want to eat all bulgur pilaf, I will serve only for two people. So I transfer 2 portions of pilaf to smaller pot, then pour my sauce over it. Stirred very good. It is ready, very filling!
