Recipe Layered Turkey Casserole

Resep Layered Turkey Casserole

Ingredients :

  • 8 slices white bread
  • 4 cups shredded cooked turkey
  • 5 tbsp butter, divided
  • 8 oz canned mushrooms, drained
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 4 oz sliced cheddar cheese
  • 6 oz sliced monterrey jack/colby
  • 1 1/2 cups soy milk (or milk of your choice)
  • 1 can (10.75 oz) cream of chicken
  • 1 can (10.75 oz) cream of mushroom
  • 3 eggs, beaten (or equivalent of egg substitute)
  • 2/3 cup bread crumbs

Method :
  1. Spray a 13x9 baking dish. Arrange bread slices in prepared baking dish. Sprinkle turkey over bread.
  2. Melt 2 tbsp butter in medium skillet. Cook mushrooms in butter for 5 minutes. Spoon over turkey.
  3. Spread mayonnaise over top of mushrooms. Arrange cheese on top of mayonnaise.
  4. Combine milk, cream of chicken, cream of mushroom, & eggs in a large bowl. Mix well. Pour on top of cheese. Chill civered for 3 hrs.
  5. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Bake casserole for 1 1/4 hrs.
  6. Melt 3 tbsp of butter. Add bread crumbs & mix until well combined. Sprinkle over casserole. Bake for 15 minutes longer.
