
Ingredients :
- Streusel Topping
- 2 1/2 cup flour
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 stick melted butter
- 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- Bars
- 1 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
Method :
- Grease and flour parchment lined 9x13 pan
- Preheat oven to 325
- Combine Streusel ingredients in large bowl using either fork or spoon, set aside
- Whisk together egg, milk, vanilla and oil
- Stir in sugar, salt, baking powder, then flour. Sometimes the dough looks soupy so I add another quarter cup of flour. It should be sticky.
- Spread dough in pan and top with ALL the Streusel Topping~ it does seem like overkill but trust me! Pay attention to the edges because it puffs up more than the center and the topping can get sparse.
- Bake for 20 minutes then check, the bars should be JUST set. If not, go in 3 minute increments. These are soft, chewy bars.
- Cool in pan for 25 minutes before lifting out to finish cooling.
