Ingredients :
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/3 cup vegetable shortening
- 1 cup milk
Method :
- Preheat oven to 425°F
- Mix dry ingredients together
- Cut in shortening using a fork until mixture resembles a coarse meal
- Slowly stir in milk until dough pulls from bowl sides
- Put on floured cutting board and knead 15-20 times
- Roll out dough to 1 inch thick
- Cut biscuits with a large cutter or my method, a wide mouth glass dipped in flour... repeat step 6 until all dough is used
- Put cut biscuits on ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake 13-15 min until bottoms are golden brown
- Put desired goodies on them and then stuff your mouth hole
