Ingredients :
- 4 cups flour
- 1 packet Rapid Rise Yeast
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp oil for bowl
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup canola oil
- 1 egg beaten (room temp)
- 1/2 cup flour for rolling dough
- Bread crumbs for rolling
Method :
- Mix dry ingredients in large bowl: flour, yeast, salt and sugar
- Oil a second large bowl.
- In a third bowl, mix water, milk and oil. Heat in microwave for 90 seconds.
- Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients. Slowly add egg. Dough should be gooey.
- Prep warm area by turning on oven on low and then turn off to let it cool off for a few minutes.
- Spread clean surface with the 1/2 cup of flour. Roll gooey dough into a large ball on the flour surface until it"s smooth. Place in oiled bowl and cover with a cloth.
- Place bowl of dough in warm area to let rise for 2 hours. Dough will double in size.
- Take dough and flatten into a large rectangle on a floured surface. Fold upward to make a long log of dough. Then cut 20 pieces diagonally.
- Take each piece and roll in bread crumbs. Place rolls spread apart on 2 cookie sheets. Place back in warm area (you may need to re-prep warm area) for another hour.
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Bake rolls for 20-25 min or until rolls start to brown on top. Enjoy!
