Recipe Mike's Chicago Dogs & Beer Brats

Resep Mike's Chicago Dogs & Beer Brats

Ingredients :

  • 1 (12 oz) Quality Beer Bratwursts
  • 1 (12 oz) Quality Beef Hot Dogs
  • 3 Cans Quality Lager Beers
  • 1 LG White Onion [quartered]
  • 10 Cloves Fresh Garlic [smashed]
  • Salt & Fresh Ground Black Pepper [to taste]
  • as needed Yellow Mustard
  • as needed Sport Peppers
  • as needed Banana Peppers
  • as needed Fresh Firm Tomatoes
  • as needed Celery Salt
  • 1 Package Poppy Seed Buns

Method :
  1. Start with quality Franks and Bratwurst.
  2. Add 3 quality lager beers to a large pot.
  3. Smash your garlic with a large knife.
  4. Quarter your white onions.
  5. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Place everything in pot except for toppers.
  7. Boil links for 10 minutes.
  8. After boiling, slightly score all dogs at a slant before grilling.
  9. Grill meat just until charred.
  10. Fully charred meat links - serve hot.
  11. Chicago Dogs are typically served on Poppy Seed buns but, I was out of them. BallPark buns are always a good bet tho.
  12. Top buns with fresh firm tomatoes. Round cut - then halved. Serve chilled.
  13. Top buns with pickle spears.
  14. Use Clausens Chilled Pickles Spears. They"re the tastiest, most firm pickles out there. You"ll find them in the refrigerated section of your supermarket.
  15. Top buns with a quality chilled Yellow Mustard.
  16. Top buns with chilled Banana Peppers.
  17. Top buns with chilled Sport Peppers.
  18. Sprinkle bun tops with Celery Salt.
  19. Also, add the onions from your beer broth to the tops of your dogs.
  20. Enjoy!
