
Ingredients :
- 6 all-purpose Potatoes, skinned and sliced on mandolin
- 3 tbsp Butter
- 3 tbsp Flour
- 2 1/2 cup Milk
- 1 tsp each, salt & pepper
- 1 med. Onion, chopped
- 1 Japeleno pepper, minced
- 2 cup shredded Cheddar
- 1 cup cooked Ham, chopped
Method :
- Rinse potato slices in water, set aside.
- Mix butter and flour in pot on med. heat 1 minute. Add s&p, add milk all at once. Bring to low boil. Boil 1 minute. Remove from heat. Add onion & pepper. Add cheese, stir to melt.
- Spread some sauce mixture in 9×12 greased baking dish. Top with 1 layer potatoes, then some ham. Repeat 2 more times ending with sauce.
- Bake 350° for 1 hr. Remove foil. Bake additional 40 mins. Add more cheese to top in last 5 min. if desired.
- Let cool 10 min. before serving.
