Ingredients :
- 1 lb. thick cut bacon
- 6 oz. +- almond bark melting chocolate or your favorite
- coarse sea salt
- ground red pepper [optional]
- wax paper
Method :
- Cut bacon in half.
- Either fry or bake bacon.
- Cook until crispy but not burnt. Then drain on paper towels, paper or both till room temperature.
- Melt chocolate according to directions on package.
- Spoon chocolate onto bacon holding it over the dish. Using back of spoon, even out the chocolate then repeat on flip side of bacon strip.
- Lay bacon strip on wax paper. Then on the one side only I sprinkle sea salt on the chocolate end before it sets up. I like red pepper on mine along with the sea salt.
- Work with only about 5 pieces at a time otherwise the chocolate may set up before you have a chance to add your seasonings. Then refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving.
