Ingredients :
- 24 oz tomato paste
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tbs salt
- 1 tbs pepper
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tbs oregano
- 1 tbs thyme
- 1 tbs basil
- 8 cherry/grape tomatoes
- 1 tbs butter
- 1 tbs lemon juice
- 1/2 cup water
Method :
- Empty tomato paste into saucepan on low heat.
- In a separate pan, cook garlic in virgin olive oil and butter until you have a golden brown liquid, then add lemon juice. Simmer on med or low heat.
- Put cherry tomatoes, oregano, basil, thyme, and 1/2 cup water into blender. Pour garlic sauce into mix with or without garlic pieces. Liquify in blender.
- Pour blended mix into saucepan with paste and stir thoroughly.
- Add salt, pepper, and sugar to sauce.
- Bring to boil then reduce heat. Keep warm on low until ready to pour on crust.
