Recipe Cast Iron Skillet Corn Bread

Ingredients :

  • 1 1/4 cups coarsely ground cornmeal
  • 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 teaspoon baking power
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/3 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 8 tablespoons butter, melted

Method :
  1. Preheat the oven at 425 degrees. Place 9 inch cast iron skillet in oven and heat
  2. Mix together dry ingredients. On a separate bowl mix melted butter with wet ingredients and then combine all the ingredients.
  3. Take the cast iron skillet out of the oven reduce oven temperature to 350°.
  4. Coat the bottom and sides of the skillet with butter. Pour the batter into the skillet and bake for 20-25 min.
