Recipe Vickys Halloween Snake Breadsticks (Garlic Herb)

Resep Vickys Halloween Snake Breadsticks (Garlic Herb)

Ingredients :

  • 450 grams gluten-free / plain flour - see my flour mix below
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp xanthan gum if using gluten-free flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 3/4 tsp low-sodium salt
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 pinch chilli powder
  • 360 ml sparkling (carbonated) water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup

Method :
  1. Preheat the oven to gas 7 / 210C / 425°F and line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper
  2. Mix the flour, baking powder, xanthan gum if using, salt, herbs and spices together well in a bowl
  3. Make a well in the middle and pour in the oil and syrup
  4. The dough should be like a thick cake batter so mix in the water until it reaches that stage. You may not need it all
  5. Spoon the mixture into a piping bag
  6. Snip a 1cm wide end and pipe wiggly lines, spaced evenly apart along each baking sheet, then bake for 18 - 22 minutes or until done
  7. Enjoy with some of my themed soup for a nutritious Halloween meal!
