Ingredients :
- 4 hot dogs (2 per person basically)
- 1 cup rice uncooked (about 3 cups cooked)
- 2 cup chili (give or take)
- 1 onion chopped *
- Hot sauce *
- Cilantro or parsley *
- Cheese *
Method :
- Put some rice on per instructions. I"m using Jasmine this time, but use what you like. 3 cups cooked is typically little more than enough for 2 people. Yes, I put salt and pepper in mine.
- Obtain some chili, since I was in a rush, I obtained this one. Home made is better. Hawaiian Chili is suppose to have beans. But do what you like.
- Make sure your chili is hot.
- Start your hot dogs so they are ready the same time as your rice and chili. I"m using these because I like their flavor, but any work.
- I am using a skillet to heat them this time, but I have just microwaved them also.
- Lay some rice down on a plate, place the dogs leaning up on the rice. Cover with chili, that"s the basic dish.
- I like some raw onions, cilantro and hot sauce on mine, see * items for garnish suggestions. My wife likes shredded cheese on hers.
