Ingredients :
- 230 g puff pastry
- 3/4 head red cabbage
- 2 red onions sliced
- 1 tbsp thyme
- 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- handful walnuts or pecans
- 30 g butter
- to taste salt and pepper
- creme fraiche or sour cream to top
- chopped parsley for topping
Method :
- Preheat oven to 350°F
- Melt butter over medium heat then fry onions for 4 minutes
- Add the red cabbage and continue fryi g for 5 minutes adding the seasoning
- Add balsamic vinegar and cook for 2 min then set aside
- Line a pie pan with puff pastry. Add cabbage and top with walnuts
- Bake for 25 to 30 min until pastry is golden brown
- Top with sour cream and parsley
