Ingredients :
- 1 pint Half and Half
- 1 stick Butter (do not use margarine)
- 1/2 pound good Smoked Sausage
- 1 1/2 pounds Shrimp (cleaned and deveined)
- 2 TBSP minced Garlic
- 2/3 cup chopped Green Onions
- 8 oz Spiral Pasta
- 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
- to taste Cajun Seasoning
Method :
- Sauté the sausage, onions, and garlic. No need for oil as the sausage will render some. Once there is a little oil in the pan, add the shrimp.
- Cook till the shrimp is done. Drain and save oil, set the rest aside.
- Make pasta according to the box.
- Melt the butter into a pan, add the half and half. Bring just short of a boil and add the shrimp mixture and pasta. With the saved oil make a small blonde roux and add it to the pot with the rest.
- Stir well and warm over medium heat until the sauce thickens. Serve with garlic bread.
