Recipe Mapel Fennel Bacon

Ingredients :

• 3 T pure maple syrup
• 1 T dark brown sugar
• 12 slices thick-cut bacon
• 2 t fennel seeds (crushed)
• freshly ground black pepper

Method :

1. Preheat oven to 375F. Line baking sheet with foil and rack.
2. Mix maple syrup and dark brown sugar in small bowl. Put back on rack, leaving space between strips. Brush with maple mixture and sprinkle sparingly with fennel seeds. Season with black pepper.
3. Bake until brown and crisp. 20-25 min. Loosen bacon from rack and cool there 5 min before serving.
