Ingredients :
- 1 lb ground beef
- 28 oz tomato sauce
- 15 oz tomato puree
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 tsp mexican chili powder
- 1 tbsp crushed red pepper
- 1 tbsp dried chopped onion
- 1 tbsp dried chopped garlic
- 2 tsp white sugar
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 2 tsp ground parsley
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/4 tsp ground cayenne pepper
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 large tomato, chopped
- 1 large green bell pepper, chopped
- 15 oz can white kidney beans strained and rinsed
- 15 oz can pinto beans strained and rinsed
- 1/2 cup water
Method :
- Add tomato sauce to crock pot on high
- Combine all seasonings in bowl
- In a frying pan cook the ground beef until almost done, add onions and green bell pepper, cook for 5 minutes on low
- Add half of the seasoning to the ground beef, onion, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes
- Add ground beef, onion, and green bell pepper with all juices to crock pot
- Stir, let cook for 5 minutes
- Add the rest of the seasoning, beans, water and tomato to crock pot
- Stir, Cook on high for 3 hours, put on low or keep warm until eaten.
