Ingredients :
- 3 salmon steaks (any amount really)
- 1/3 leek
- 1 onion
- 1 red onion
- 1 clove garlic
- 500 grams fresh (leaf) spinach
- 100 grams gorgonzola cheese
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1 salt
- 1 pepper
- 1 capsicum powder
- 1 nutmeg powder
Method :
- Chop, chop, chop the onion, red onion, garlic and leek. Dice the gorgonzola cheese for the s. steak"s topping and roux. See description.
- I used 500g frozen leaf spinach. If you use fresh spinach you"ll have to cook it before.
- Rub salt, pepper and capsicum powder onto the salmon steaks.
- Alright cook the all onions and leek (step 1) and season with salt, pepper and sugar. Add a bit of oil before and add 1/2 cup water in steps.
- Add your spinach and let it rest a bit. Heat up your oven to 200° degrees celcius 390° degrees fahrenheit.
- Roux (see description): start frying a good chunk (40 grams) butter until its golden and runny. Then add one flat tablespoon flour and keep on stirring. Don"t let it burn.
- While doing step 6, add 3/4 cup milk, a good chunk gorgonzola cheese and a pinch nutmeg. Give it a taste and you may have to season it with salt and pepper.
- Get everything together. Make it look pretty for the community xD. To de oven noow!! 30mins @ 200° celcius/ 390° fahrenheit.
- Et voila....!!! I used too much roux. Didn"t want to throw it away and we had a couple of s. steaks left.
- Ohhnomnomnom. "Song of the meal": Bad water by Carroll. Oh yeah ;)
