Ingredients :
- 8 sausage patties
- Rendered fat from patties
- 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- Bisquick
- to taste basil
- to taste crushed red peppers
- to taste salt
- to taste pepper
- cream cheese
- 4 eggs
- 6 slices cheese
- hot sauce
- Milk for making gravy
Method :
- Preheat your oven to 450° Cook the 8 sausage patties and render your fat. Set patties and fat aside with 1/4 cup of flour. Fat and flour is for gravy
- Make the basic bicuit mix on the bisquick box. Add basil, crushed red peppers, salt & pepper to biscuit mix.
- Roll dough in your hands and make as many flat biscuits as you can to line the bottom of a cast iron pan.
- Once your dough is rolled, place a spoonful of cream cheese on each biscuit and put a sausage patty on the top of all the biscuits and cream cheese
- Add cheese to the top of your mix. You dont have to use sliced cheese, its just what i had. I like it a bit crispy and burnt anyways.
- Place cast iron in oven uncovered and bake for 20 minutes. Check at about 15 minutes to make sure biscuits are not doughy. There will be a crispy layer of eggs around the outside of the biscuits. Make sure you scrape this into your bowl when you serve it.
- Now you make your flour, milk and grease gravy. Make a rue with grease and flour add milk. Cook until creamy and thick. Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Once your bake is done, smother with gravy, eat and be fat and happy
