
Ingredients :
- 2 pounds raw pork, can be any meat listed in the about this recipe
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 2 tablespoons parsley
- 1 teaspoon Chinese five spice powder, optional
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper powder
- 1/4 teaspoon granulated garlic powder
- 1 tablespoons arrowroot powder, or cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Method :
- Slice into small pices your cut of meat
- Take your cut of pork or meat in a food processor or blender in small batches pulse the meat till its a paste
- Look over the meat carefully for little chunks it should be smooth and consistent.
- Add spices
- Kneed into a dough
- Add cornstarch or arrowroot powder
- Work it into the meat dough
- Form into balls they are ready to cook. Use in soups, hotpots, sandwiches, bao steam buns and so on
- If no food processor or blender, you can chop it into a paste it is a lot of work but can be done. Note if making fishballs use a tablespoon of fish sauce.
- Note also. You can use baking powder to make the ball puffy and lite
