Recipe Karjikai

Resep Karjikai

Ingredients :

  • filling
  • 10 grams sugar
  • 10 grams jaggery
  • 25 grams dry coconut
  • 1 tbsp poppy seeds
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (white)
  • pinch cardamom powder
  • 1 tbsp fried Gram
  • oil to deep fry
  • dough
  • 25 grams flour
  • 10 grams Semolina
  • pinch salt
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1= water

Method :
  1. Make a soft dough and rest it for 30 min
  2. Grate the coconut; lightly fry poppy seeds and seasame seeds
  3. Powder the jaggery and fried gram
  4. Mix all the ingredients of filling. Divide the prepared dough in to small portion and role to thin disc.
  5. Place the prepared filling 1 tsp in the centre and fold to half moon shape and seal properly
  6. Add the oil and deep fry prepared karjikai
