Ingredients :
- 100 g channa dal (kadlebele, Bengal gram)
- 1 cup water (if required)
- 1/2 cup freshly grated coconut
- 100 g jaggery
- 1 tablespoon ghee
- 1 cup milk
- 50 g cashew nuts
- 50 g almonds
- 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
Method :
- Cook kadlebele/Bengal gram with water in a cooker till 3 whistles are released
- Mix it with a tablespoon milk and keep aside
- Add the freshly grated coconut with grinded jaggery to get a course paste
- Now heat ghee in a kadai and add cashew nuts, chopped almonds, remaining milk, and coconut mixture
- Cook it for 15 minutes and then pour the kadlebele mixture
- Sprinkle cardamom powder and let it cook for another 2 to 3 minutes
