Ingredients :
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1/2 medium onion
- 1 pound smoked ham hocks deboned and defatted
- 1 tablespoon molasses
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon cayenne based hot sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic pepper blend
- 1 cup mustard
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup white wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 1 can mixed pinto and northern beans (15oz)
Method :
- Saute onion and ham hocks in oil
- Add remaining ingredients except beans and simmer on low 15- 20 mins
- Add beans and simmer about 10 minutes
- Add water or beer as necessary to obtain desired consistency
