Recipe Gingerbread

Ingredients :

  • 150 g self-raising flour
  • pinch salt
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 50 g caster sugar
  • 50 g butter or margarine
  • 1 tbsp golden syrup
  • 30 ml milk

Method :
  1. Pre heat the oven to 160°C/ 320°F or gas mark 3
  2. Line a baking tray with parchment paper
  3. Place the flour, salt and ginger in a bowl
  4. Place sugar, butter and syrup in a pan and melt on a low heat until everything is dissolved. Then pour into the bowl with the flour in it and mix well
  5. Add the milk and form into a dough. Knead lightly with hands
  6. Roll out and cut out shapes and place on a baking tray
  7. Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes
  8. Allow to cool on the baking parchment paper
  9. Decorate if doing so
