Ingredients :
- 150 g self-raising flour
- pinch salt
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 50 g caster sugar
- 50 g butter or margarine
- 1 tbsp golden syrup
- 30 ml milk
Method :
- Pre heat the oven to 160°C/ 320°F or gas mark 3
- Line a baking tray with parchment paper
- Place the flour, salt and ginger in a bowl
- Place sugar, butter and syrup in a pan and melt on a low heat until everything is dissolved. Then pour into the bowl with the flour in it and mix well
- Add the milk and form into a dough. Knead lightly with hands
- Roll out and cut out shapes and place on a baking tray
- Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes
- Allow to cool on the baking parchment paper
- Decorate if doing so
