Ingredients :
- Dough
- 3/4 cup soft butter
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 1/3 cup all purpose flour
- 1 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 apples finely chopped
- Caramel Sauce
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Method :
- Caramel sauce
- Melt and combine all ingredients in a heavy saucepan over medium heat stirring occasionally until sauce comes to a roiling boil .
- Cook 2-3 minutes stirring constantly to prevent burning until sauce thickens a bit and becomes a golden color.
- Set aside to cool while you prepare cookies.
- Cookies:
- Cream butter, sugar and brown sugar together. Mix in vanilla and egg until well blended.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, soda and cinnamon.
- Gradually add flour mixture to butter mixture slowly until all combined well.
- Stir in apples.
- Drop by a rounded teaspoons onto a greased cookie sheet. Drizzle each cookie with caramel sauce.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes until slightly browned. Let cool before serving.
