
Ingredients :
- 300 g butter
- 200 g demerara sugar
- 100 g golden syrup
- 100 g crunchy peanut butter
- 450 g porridge oats
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- handful raisins
Method :
- Pre-heat oven to 180°C/Gas 4. Grease and line a 30 x 20cm rectangular cake tin with baking parchment.
- Melt the the butter in a large pan then add the sugar, syrup and peanut butter and stir over a low heat until smooth. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the oats and raisins until really well mixed.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared tin and push down evenly. I used a potato masher. Bake in the oven for 20 mins until lightly golden.
- Give the dog the empty peanut butter jar, if there is one.
- Cool for 10 mins before marking into bars using a sharp knife. Leave to cool completely before removing from the tin.
- When cool, dust flapjacks with love and encouragement and rush to work station.
