Recipe Soorgee

Ingredients :

  • 300 grams Wheat Semolina
  • 250 grams butter
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • boiling water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp elatchi

Method :
  1. In pot on low heat, add Semolina until lightly brown
  2. Remove Semolina. In same pot, add butter until golden
  3. On low heat, add Semolina to melted butter. Drop in a cinnamon stick. Mix to a smooth texture
  4. Add boiling water until roughly 1 fingernails worth above the Semolina. Take off stove.
  5. Add the sugar and ground elatchi. Note: microwave elatchi to remove skin
