Ingredients :
- 2 tbs minced onion
- 1 lb ground chuck
- 1 large egg slightly beaten
- 1/8 tsp ground white pepper
- 5 tbs butter
- 1/2 cup uncooked quick oats
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp caraway seed
- 1 can (10 3/4 oz) cream of celery soup
Method :
- Brown onion lightly in butter
- Combine meat, oats, egg, seasonings, and onion until throughly mixed
- With floured hands, shape mixture into approximately 45 1-inch balls
- Fry slowly in butter in a heavy skillet until brown. As browned remove from skillet and set asi6
- After all meatballs have been browned add soup and water to skillet drippings stirring until smooth and bubbly
- Return meatballs to skillet stiring slightly to cover meatballs with sauce
- Cover tightly and simmer on low for 20 minutes or until done
- Serve, reheat or freeze for later.
