Recipe Swedish meatballs

Ingredients :

  • 2 tbs minced onion
  • 1 lb ground chuck
  • 1 large egg slightly beaten
  • 1/8 tsp ground white pepper
  • 5 tbs butter
  • 1/2 cup uncooked quick oats
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 to 1/2 tsp caraway seed
  • 1 can (10 3/4 oz) cream of celery soup

Method :
  1. Brown onion lightly in butter
  2. Combine meat, oats, egg, seasonings, and onion until throughly mixed
  3. With floured hands, shape mixture into approximately 45 1-inch balls
  4. Fry slowly in butter in a heavy skillet until brown. As browned remove from skillet and set asi6
  5. After all meatballs have been browned add soup and water to skillet drippings stirring until smooth and bubbly
  6. Return meatballs to skillet stiring slightly to cover meatballs with sauce
  7. Cover tightly and simmer on low for 20 minutes or until done
  8. Serve, reheat or freeze for later.
