Ingredients :
- 1 9inch pie crust (chocolate)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 3 ounces bittersweet chocolate chips
- 4 large eggs. (room temp)
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 3/4 cups sugar
- 1 tblesp + 1 tsp molasses
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tblesp rum. (optional)
- 2 1/2 cups pecans halves
Method :
- PREHEAT OVEN TO 325°
- Prepare or thaw 9inch pie crust
- Melt butter and chocolate chips over low heat set aside
- PLACE IN OVEN AND BAKE UNTIL FILLING IS SET AND SLIGHTLY PUFFED, ABOUT 50 MINUTES
