Ingredients :
- 1/2 Round Cabbage (not Napa Cabbage)
- 1 tbsp dried shrimps
- 3 slices ginger (sliced to thin strips)
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 4 shiitake mushrooms (sliced)
- 1/2 carrot (thinly shredded)
- 2 stalks spring unions (green part only) sliced to 2 inches
- Sauce---
- dried shrimp's soaking water
- 1/2 tsp soya sauce
- 1/2 tsp sesame oil
- 2 dashes white pepper powder
Method :
- Rinse dried shrimps and soak them with 1/3 cup hot water in a small bowl until softened. Drain the dried shrimps, setting aside the soaking water. Pat dry the shrimp with kitchen towel.
- In a pot, add oil over medium heat.
- In with ginger and dried shrimp and cook for 2 mins.
- Add garlic and mushroom in.
- Add cabbage in and sauce to coat everything.
- Cover the pot with lid and simmer until soften.
- Add carrots, spring unions.
- Serve with steamed rice.
