Ingredients :

- 1/3 lb bulk sausage
- 1 lb ground meat
- 2 medium eggplants, aubergines
- 3 tbsp margarine
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 15 1/2 oz tomato sauce
- 28 oz diced tomatoes
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 water
- spices
- 1 tsp granulated garlic powder
- 1/3 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp basil
- 1/4 tsp whole leaf oregano
- 1 tsp chopped parsley
- topping
- 2 cup extra sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup arrowroot powder
Method :
- Brown the meat and sausage, with onions and eggplant.
- Preheat oven 400° Fahrenheit
- Cook till meat is done and eggplant is tender. Add your margarine, spices, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, parmesan cheese, and tomato paste. Add water if needed. Simmer 10 minutes.
- Spray nonstick spray to an oven safe dish add eggplant mixture to dish spread evenly. Mix arrowroot powder then even back out. Add cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake 1 hour. Let sit 15 minutes, serve hope you enjoy!
