Ingredients :
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1/3 cup all natural creamy peanut butter
- 2/3 cup to 3/4 cup cold water, you want a muffin batter consistency
Method :
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Spray the wells of two 12 count mini muffin tins (or one 24 count) with non stick cooking spray. Set aside.
- In a medium bowl whisk together all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour and baking powder. Add applesauce, peanut butter and 2/3 cup cold water. Whisk to combine, adding additional water as necessary to achieve a pourable, yet slightly thick muffin batter consistency.
- Fill wells of muffin tin(s) almost to the rim (these don"t rise all too much so don"t worry about potential overflow). You should get a full 24 muffins. Place tin(s) in oven and bake 15 - 18 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in centers comes out clean.
- When done, remove from oven, let cool 5 minutes in tin(s). Transfer muffins to wire rack to cool completely. When cool Store in an air tight container and hand out as treats your good lil pup (and husband) will definitely enjoy!
