Ingredients :
- 16 oz package of cream cheese
- 5-6 stalks Green onions
- to taste Onion powder
- 1 egg
- Wonton wrappers
- Oil (vegetable or canola)
Method :
- Leave cream cheese out to become room temperature.
- Dice green onions
- Mix cream cheese with diced green onions and onion powder (to your taste) in large mixing bowl
- Beat egg in small mixing bowl
- Separate wonton wrappers. Put a scoop of cream cheese mix in middle of wrapper.
- Take a finger and dip in egg mixture. On sides of wrappers, moisten with egg mixture.
- Fold up sides to meet in the middle. Make sure there are no openings where the cream cheese can come out of.
- Heat oil until nice and hot.
- Drop in wontons and let dry in sizzling oil for about 45 seconds to one minute (or until nice and golden brown). Pull from oil. Let sit for a minute and enjoy!
